Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most.

What is the mission of World Human Rights USA?

We defend human rights, education, and wellness in the communities that need it most — rooted in Jackson Heights, Queens, one of the most diverse immigrant neighbourhoods in the United States, and connected to partners around the world.

Where does World Human Rights USA operate?

Our office is at King Plaza, Suite 212, 37-47 73rd Street, Jackson Heights, NY 11372. Most of our programs serve Jackson Heights and the wider Queens and NYC community, while our Global Outreach work connects us with partners internationally.

What programs do you run?

We work across six focus areas: Human Rights Advocacy, Educational Programs, Wellness Conferences, Community Empowerment, Global Outreach, and Volunteer Engagement. You can explore each on our Our Work page.

Is my donation tax-deductible?Sample

We display our 501(c)(3) status, EIN, and tax-deductibility statement on the Donate page and in the footer as soon as our nonprofit registration is confirmed. Until then, please contact us at contact@whrusa.info with any questions about giving.

Where do my donations go?Sample

We believe in open books. Our Transparency page shows how funds are allocated across programs, fundraising, and administration, and how a sample gift is put to work. Figures shown today are illustrative samples; we publish real numbers as each fiscal year closes.

Can I change or cancel a monthly gift?

Yes — anytime. Monthly gifts are processed through Givebutter, and you can adjust or pause them from your confirmation receipt or by contacting us at contact@whrusa.info. There’s no cancellation fee, ever.

How do I volunteer?

We’d love your help. Visit our Volunteer page to see current roles — including interpretation and translation, which are vital in our neighbourhood — and to start a conversation about how you’d like to get involved.

How can my organization partner with you?

We partner with schools, clinics, community groups, and funders. Learn about partnership types and reach out on our Partner With Us page.
